Easiest live to cultivate?

Question is as in the title.

I'm getting some Scarlet Badis on Saturday if all goes according to plan. Which are the easiest live foods to make? I will be feeding both flake and frozen too. So hopefully I won't need to make much of it.

I was thinking of maybe breeding Cherries for the dual purpose of a feeder colony and just a normal ornamental colony.

What's your set-up for cultivating those, also what else do you cultivate?

Earthworms, white worms, banana worms, vinegar eels, and flightless fruit flies,

I have these foods available all year round.
And collect daphnia almost all year round
