I cut up some earth worms and cleaned them out. I was wondering if I could feed to bettas?

It would be easier and probably healthier to get a packet of bloodworms (only about 25p). I'm not too sure about earth worms, but also i'm no expert.

I'd be concerned about bacteria present in them. I'd also say it would be better to use frozen or freeze dried bloodworms. I'm no expert either but the earthworm digests things and passes them out the backside and some of those materials may still be present.....Plus all of the other unseen things like the bacteria. Too much of a chance with our beloved friends.

Earthworms, even from sterile farms, have been known to increase the occurence of dropsy. :/ They also haven't got as much protein as bloodworms.

Ok I was just wondering. Was thinking of doing something different besides bloodworms and brine shrimp.
