here's whats doing on,i brought 6 rainbows from a online supplier who i wont name, when im opened the box 2 of them was dead, 10 mins later another died.

at this point the remaining three are in my hospital tank and seem to be doing fine or so i thought.
all were eating and looked like they would be ok, two days later another one just drops dead.
it was fine one minute and the dead.??????? :(

2 left now then 2 days later which is today another just swims upside down then drops dead.
this fish had just been feeding not 10 minutes before.
the water is bang on and no dangerous levels.
im totaly lost here ive never had something like this happen before.
Any ideas that might save the last rainbow.
oh also a L134 leopard frog came with the order too and seems to be fine.

hmmmm, i was told never to buy fish online as you dont know where they came from. How long did it take to arrive? Transporting always cause stress for fish, even a 15min journey, so if it was overnight, thats more than likely the cause or new tank syndrome or shock of new water....poor fish.....wouldnt worry about it....it happens, also, you said one just went up to the top and died....its weak because of the journey...

What was there ph to your tank ph.

but they have been eating strongly and swimming well, they looked fine i fully expected the remaining three to make it.
ill never buy fish to be delivered ever again, big lesson but hard lesson learned here.

im lost with all this writing....do you have any surviving?

just the 1 female at the mo, but what im reallly worried about is if its anything that could kill the L134 thats in the hospital tank aswell.???

ph the same
no nitrite's
15 nitrates
no ammonia

but also worried if i move the L134 to main tank in fear of it suffering the same fait, i could move what ever could be killing the rainbows in to my main tank.??????

well if you transfer just the last female into your main tank, dont put any water into it, just add some water from your main tank into the hospital one...leave it for 1/2 hour...lets say....and just transfer the fish with a net. Doing this...the rainbow can get used to its new water....its worth a shot....if nearly all have died....i think its obvious that you have no other choice than to transfer it

Sock and stress if you have lost them all nearly, how long did you climatise them for.
