Dyed Fish

Went to the local pet shop tonight and found them selling "Holiday Tetra's". They have a 29 Gallon tank full of fluorescent Red and Green dyed Glass Tetras in a display in the front of the fish section. More in the fish room. I have seen the occasional dyed parrot, but as they're the only convenient independent lfs in my area I didnt fuss over one or two fish.
I noticed tonight they had a whole tank of dyed parrots also, flourescent purples, oranges, and blues.
The teenage boy on fish duty said,"We have a ton of em, big holiday seller, all the really bright ones are"

I left the store and bought my fish food at Petsmart.

Sorry to hear, Talleyrand. I've been very lucky that none of the LFS I have frequented have ever sold dyed fish. It's just sad, knowing there are people with that much malice in their hearts in this world.

I have seen christmas tetras...yes...red and green white skirt tetras

Every lfs around here sells dyed fish. I mentioned it to a couple and they said they would talk to the owners, but nothing has changed.

I haven't seen any Christmas dyed fish around here.
and that would be a good thing.
