My Dwarf Gourami, Comet, is afraid of me. I feed them and go 6 feet awat to the computer. And I watch them and all of them will eat except Comet. He looks like hes getting a little skinny. What should I do to get him to eat?

What size tank is he in and with what other fish? Get him some live foods.

Most probably not.

Is the tank cycled?
Are there any signs of him being bloated, scales pineconing, resting on the bottom or general lethargy?

I should explain that I asked what other fish were in the tank because, the way you put it before, I thought this was a different tank (from the one you have posted about in other threads) and, I thought maybe the problem was other fish competing too strongly with the gourami. Obviously, this is not the case...

I think you've had the gourami long enough to count out his lack of appetite as being attributed to him still settling in. However, did he eat before now or is this how he was all along?

As such, I should warn you that this might be the first sign of disease. If you're lucky, it's just some stress or he happens to be pickier than others of his species.

You should test your water and post the parameters. pH and temperature are also useful to know.
Is your tank planted?
Can you describe his general behaviour a little bit?
Try doing a water change as well.

Feeding him live blood worms or brine shrimp might do the trick. If you have no way of getting some of these, their frozen counterparts may work as well. If you can get some very small ghost shrimp, they'd eat them as well - it's just a matter of finding small ones.

The tank is cycled. He looks fine. Hes acting fine too. And I think he just does like to eat the food of the top of the water. He has started to eat the food after it fell to the bottom. He looks like hes getting fatter so i think he is going to to be fine :) Thanks Sylvia
