dwarf platies and guppies

can they breed together, the dwarf platies are about the same size of the guppies, and i was getting some guppies anyway, so i was curious.

the genus is different, so the odds of them being able to interbreed are very low.

Nope, 2 different families, Poecilia and Xiphophorus, so they can't breed.

If there was some hanky panky going on the embrios would never be viable, of course with guppies there will be hanky panky, man my male guppies used to have "sword fights" with each other, confused little fish they are.
