dwarf neon blues

i bought what i thought was a pair of neon blues but no i'm thinking that they were both males(sadly one died) but they were both v. colourful and didn't flirt but i'm clueless as i have never knowingly seen a female dwarf, also do i need to get another one as i have one on it's own now?

Sorry to hear your gourami passed away

A single male dwarf gourami will be fine

The reason you've never seen a female dwarf gourami is because very few shops stock them due to their lack of brilliant colours, if you wanted some, ask the lfs to check on their stocklist

you dont *need* another one, keeping a pair of males often leads to aggression between tehm unless the tank is pretty big. It would be cool if you could get two females to keep him company though but it sounds like you might have trouble finding them. they are all silvery, not bright like th males. maybe if you have a good lfs they could order some in for you.

thanks for the info... i'll pop to my lfs and see what they can do... can't have the wee man getting lonely without a g/f!!
