All gouramis have the potential to be somewhat aggressive, but especially with the dwarfs, they are most usually just aggressive to each other. If you have plants in your tank so that the weaker one has a place to escape to, they should be fine.

They are not fish that will readily breed for you, and even if they do they are not likely to survive to adulthood. StrontiumDog did a fine job of raising his, but this is unusual. They are not ones that an inexperienced breeder will succeed with.

The problem is that they are exceptionally tiny when they first hatch and it's difficult feeding them at this stage. They are only about as big as a comma on this page.
 
ive got plenty of plants in my tank so i should be ok if they need a place to hide as for breeding if they do have fry i might as well give it a go of raising them. just looking forward to getting them now. :D
