I just bought 2 powder blue Gouramis and was wondering how can i get more color out of them. i put them in the tank and there color seemed to go away. Is this because they scared? Does certain food help? Thanks in advance

You might want to feed them some color enhancing food or even something live to brighten up their colors and if you bought them recently then you need to give them time to get used to their new tank and their color will come back but the food might help some

They are just stressed from being moved. Dont worry too much as there colours will come back soon.

I do feed my fish colour enhancing food but it doesnt mean you have too just to get colour. Live or frozen food will be great. They appreciate it much more than just a plain diet of flake.

If water quality is high, then you will get max growth and max colour from your fish.

A fish is at its best when showing good colours so try and use it as a guide to your fishies health.

Thanks everone. I managed to get a picture, there color dosent look too bad in the photo. If you look at them in the tank they are much darker. Also i think they are both Male (is this right?)

Maybe it's your lighting? Those are deffinately both male. They're color doesn't look bad but it could still improve with time (as they are new) and with feeding of live and frozen foods and of course by keeping up with water changes to improve water quality.
