Currently in my tank I have guppies and cory catfish

I have a 45 gallon tank and a 5 gallon breeder/sick fish tank

I want to end up buying a fish like an angel fish or a blood parrot but I thought I've only had guppies and catfish and tetras before and I should progress in species slowly so I was thinking of buying two dwarf gouramis and was wondering if they are nice fish to have and what things I may need to know when buying them

thanks :)

Also if you have had them before any nice experiences or things that make them cool would be great to share

I had a couple of dwarf gouramis (males), they are awesome and quite peaceful fish, although they did get a bit territorial at times (but my tank is a lot smaller than yours!). The only thing about dwarf gouramis is that they become ill very easily and often die, so be careful not to waste your money!

I have had a neon blue dwarf gourami for two months and he's  a very active interesting fish.   If your waters parameters are proper, give a dwarf gourami a try .   I read if you get more than one they may get territorial but singly I found it to be a very peaceful fish that gets along well with the rest of the community tank.
