Dwarf Gouramis

Ok, I have a 70l tank (about 18.4 gallons) with one male honey gourami and 5 red flame tetras in it.
Would dwarf gouramis be ok with these fish? I was thinking about getting 2 of them but i read somewhere on this site that it's a bad idea to have a pair, but i think that meant just one male and one female. If this is true would it be ok to have 2 males?

Dwarf Gouramis are territorial so 2 males are not the best situation unless your tank has plenty of places to hide. They prefer heavy planted and matured tanks. (Not just cycled) If you have only 1 male and 1 female he will hound her most of the time and if she will not mate he may even kill her eventually. It really is best to have 1 male to at least 2 females

Unfortunately the shop near me never has females so if I had to would just one male be ok? there are plenty of plants and a large piece of wood for the fish to hide in.

One male would be ok. It is a shame that your LFS does not stock females too. Is your tank 'matured, ie cycled for at least 6 months? If not then D G are not really an option

Ok thanks for the help. Yep my tank has been cycled for ages!
It's really my bro who wants the dwarf gourami so if i can persuade him to get another honey gourami i will.
