Is it possible he's just getting old? Do you have any idea how old he was when you got him? If he was already a full adult he may be older then expected and now feeling his age. I would keep an eye on him tho for any signs of illness etc. And make sure he's getting enought to eat.

getting old hmm i had not thort of that im not too shore if he was a full adult or geting near there when i got him cuz Dwarf Gourami dont grew that big do they .........but evan if hes geting old why would he stay over near one spot and not feel like being with the rest????as i said hes not being picked on i think hes staying there for his own reson ??............................................................................................................................................................oh aand Miss Dib Dabs how bb and queeny doing and the blue pardon my spelling i suck at spelling and i have been up all night

If he is old he may just feel the need for some space and peace and quiet. Like we all do sometimes (Not that we're old!! ). I lost one of my platie girls this morning to old age. I'd only had her about 8 months. She was full grown when I got her and I have her offspring in the tank. She'd been active and fine the previous day too with no signs of tiredness etc. But it's sad anyway. :(
BB, Blue and Queenie are all fine, as it Nursey and Spot. No more spawnings recently and I think the colder weather is to blame. The temp of the tank is around 23-24 degrees C whereas normally it's around 25-26 degrees. I would adjust the heater but BB has built his bubblenest all round it. :X Three of the four girls are carrying eggs too.
The babies are massive!! The oldest are truly big now and growing bigger by the day. They've had another growth spurt recently and I swear every time I go see them or feed them they look bigger. Yesterday they all got so excited at evening meal they actually leapt out of the water! Thankfully I don't fill their tank right up and they can't leap out of the tank.
Hugs,
P.
