should i get a pair of dwarf gourami in my planted aquarium?
thay would a great fish to have in my eyes but what about in yours?
thay look pretty cool 8-) and my tank is usually 22c to about 28c and a ph of 7.4 to 7.3 and a slow currunt.

but thay might have to share the tank with a baby yellow coloured chinise algea eater.

when i say those temps i mean in winter it is 22c at the coldest of times and usually 25c to 28c. do you really think i need a heater i mean wouldn't saesonal changes replicate there temps in the wild?

No, the temperature variation is no where near as sever as that.
Don't expect to keep tropical fish alive without a steady and stable tropical temperature.

Everyone is going to stress getting a heater asap.

Sorry for the bad spelling - still drunk

They are nice fish but i would keep a CAE in a 10g tank.
if u replace it with an otto then you be fine.

DG's are ok with 23-28oC, 22 is getting to the lowest they will live at I've had them lower for a couple of weeks but they dont look happy and are very lethargic.

ok a heater it is than.

have any of you kept them before if so what were your main problems?

But you need to get a heater. Dont keep tropical fish without one. Its a very cheap necessity.

You can get heaters for as cheap as $20. If you get one your fish will be happier!!! If you do, your tank is the right size for a dwarf gourami. I am considering getting one for my tank, too. But I have a heater, which is what you need!!!!! ;)

thanks Keithhoms you have been a great help i will probably buy them next week

do you think a good price is $14 au

For two i would say thats a pretty average price. Probably what mine were when i got them. Cam is deedman at the moment so i cant get pics sorry.
