should i get a pair of dwarf gourami in my planted aquarium?
thay would a great fish to have in my eyes but what about in yours?
thay look pretty cool  and my tank is usually 22c to about 28c and a ph of 7.4 to 7.3 and slow currunt.

but thay might have to share the tank with a baby yellow coloured chinise algea eater.

They are nice fish but i would keep a CAE in a 10g tank.
if u replace it with an otto then you be fine.

I don't like keeping dwarf gouramis anymore due to the health problems they often have. They are commonly infected with a virus and or Tuberculosis. Both diseases can are usually fatal.
There are plenty of other small labyrinths (gouramis & bettas) that can be kept and bred and don't have the same problems.
Chinese Algae Eaters can become a problem when bigger.

I don't think that's as much of a problem at the moment, but to be on the safe side try to buy ones that have been at the shop for a while and (obviously) ones that look healthiest.

if your water quality is good what about some chocolate gourami's? I think the thing about them needing really realy perfect water is just not true. my water is ok and my pair of them are fine

ok guys for a start i can't move my CAE becuase all my other tanks are also homes to CAE'S to and even though thay are only babies thay are still very agressive towards each other (i even lost one to cannibals)!

Firstly chocolate gouramis are not for newcomers to the hobby. They are very difficualt to look after, they want soft acidic water and lots of live foods.

If you dont want the hassel of lurningall about the water condations dont keep them. Although they are stunning fish.

I'M NOT REALLY A NEW COMER SINCE I BEEN IN THE HOBBY FOR 4 YEARS NOW.

FISH LIST
KUHLI LOACHES, RED FINNED SHARKS, FANCY GUPPIES, PLATYS, ZEBRA DANIOS, CHINESE ALGAE EATERS, AUSTRALIAN BLUE YABBY, PLECO,
SOMETHING BY THE TITLE OF COMMON LAKE CATFISH AND THE HUMBLE GOLDFISH.

ANYWAY I NEVER REALLY LIKED CHOCOLATE GOURAMIS, COLOURFUL GOURAMIS IS WHAT COUGHT MY EYE.

I was not saying ur a new comer but to general newcomers (other people who may read this thread)

I take the approach that most people are new comers and to explain this easily, then if they want to know more then i'll explain deeper.
I've been keeping fish for over 25 years and still not kept these fish for longer than a year and never breed them. But i don't do much to condition the water.

I have to agree I feel i am still a beginer even though i Have been keeping fish for 12 years and have 4 tanks and a quaranteen tank, ranging from 3 to 50galons spanning cold and tropical fish
