Dwarf Gourami Releasing Bubbles

Afternoon all,

I noticed yesterday that my dwarf gourami was releasing little 'showers' of bubbles at the front of the tank. Fascinating to watch.

I was wondering what this was for? He's the only gourami in the tank so wasn't sure if it was part of bubble nest building or if he's just doing it for the hell of it?
