Dwarf Gourami, Pairs?trios?groups?

I purchased a pair of Red Dwarf Gourami today, my LFS had a tank with 3-5 Female 'Dwarf' Gourami in, i'm sure i read they do better in Trios?

The only problem would be that the other females are not the same type, they were alot smaller but if having more would be better i'd happily purchase those too, am on my way back there tomorrow anyway and there only £1.20 ea

Is there such thing as too many females per male?

Ps its a 30 Gal tank

Get another 2 females (if you can fit them in) and you'll be good to go
