i am getting a 4 foot fish tank for christmas and was planning on stocking it with my three current angels (1 black, 2 silvers), 2/3/4 blue rams, anf 2 fire mouth cichlids. i am going for the amazonian biotope :shifty: lol but would this work? i've kept rams with angels before and had no problems but i've read that the firemouth cichlids can be abit aggressive.

thanks

I say try it, but i dont think that the ram's and the angels will make it. My firemouths very posotively evil. But, try what you want!

You will have to make sure that you have a pair if you are only keeping 2 Firemouths. I tried keeping just 2, and one will always become super dominant and attack everything else. He never attacked my Rams though, I think they might be too small for them to consider a threat.

If you get the Firemouths, get 6 juveniles and wait for them to pair off or get 5 or more and keep them all. I ended up getting 6 Firemouths total and that worked out great. The only problem might be not enough space for all the Firemouths and the Angels, but I say its worth a shot.
