i was wondering i have a 29 gallon tank and im wanting to add dwarf chiclids to it. what species would be best? also we were thinking of someday a planted 125gallon tank with dwarf chiclids. could that work or would they be to small in that size of a tank to really watch? the 29 has 3 angels now so they would need to get along with them.

This needs to be moved to the new world cichlid section of TFF by a mod, but I can answer ya in the mean time.
with the three angels in the 29 already, I don't think I would add anymore cichlidae species. Maybe if you had a 45 or 55 I would say a breeding pair of rams, or maybe a keyhole or two, but not in the 29, as both species will want to establish their own territory.
For the future 125, the possibilities with dwarfs is endless due to the large amount of volume. You could have upto 3 breeding pairs of rams or other dwarf species, or maybe 3 to 5 individuals of a single species. Really it would depend on what the stocking mates are to give a def answer.
