"dusty" Java Moss

cant get a pic that shows what the eye can see...but my java moss looks like it has a brown/gray dust on it...it seems to come off when i get a current going over it, but i dont know what it is lol...

it is in:
10 Gallon tank
15 watt light bulb (with reflector)
ammonia: 0 ppm
nitrites: 0 ppm
nitrates: 10 ppm
pH: 7.2
Ferts: Seachams Flourish
also DIY CO2

any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

its just stuff that would have ended up on the ground or in the filter. i have a plant that is fluffy like java moss that collects it all the time. a good shaking in the tank gets rid of it
