Hey i have just recently noticed that over all of my plants there seems to be a thin layer of dirt? Is this because the filters not fast enough? Tank is 55lts with normal water stats and with only 4 zebra danios and 2 black widows?

Dirt? Can you be more specific?

Could be serveral things - stuff floating in the tank that settles on the leaves, substrate, air bubbles with stuff in them?

What kind of filtration have you got?

Whats your substrate?

I am sure what ever it is, its harmless. We have a lot of algea attached to our plants at the mo due to some 'over feeding' and the plants are still growing.

Oh, and welcome to the forums!! :hi:

Hello thank you!! Im more of a lurker than a poster I enjoy reading peoples fish diaries!
Well it is sort of grey small bits like when you get a lot of dust. The substrate its gravel from a fish shop.
None of it is floating around its just over the plants and looks horrible! Should I clean it out? It could be the nutrient fluff that came with all the plants but that was more yellowey than grey...
