i'm a smoker, so I may tend to have some nicotene on my hands at most times. Don't get me wrong, I wash my hands periodically, but sometimes my hands (mostly my right hand) still smell like nicotene, especially after a night out :p Does the nicotene come off my hands and into the water if I'm feeding my fish with the baster, and is it extremely bad for them when I have my hands in there forever while I'm cleaning the tank? :*)

Fish with nicotine addiction

Imagine when they try to kick the habit....having to try and put little tiny fish sized nicotine patches on them...or trying to give them little tiny pieces of nicotine gum....

I have the same problem, I find that useing a pummice stone to scrub
my fingers daily helps keep the smell, and ergo the nicoteen down.
the only way of totally getting rid of it is not to hold the ciggie in your hands,
but that will never happen.

I aggree with Jams, wash hands first and there should be no problems :)

you need a cigarette holder

my (probably flawed) logic says that if you wash your hands well in hot water, its unlikely any more nicotine will come off when you put your hands in the water...
