Due To Fish Getting Eaten

Ok this is going to sounds stupid, Im looking after a baby oscar for a week until my (friends) tank is ready, I put him in being a fish newbie i didnt realise he would eat 3 of my tetra's, So i went and bought a new tank and had have to move them straight away into a uncycled tank, Will they die, any advice?

Well what i know that they are use to cycle the tank with the tetras. How many are they? What size of tank ?

If at all possible, move some filter media or a sponge from the filter on your main tank over to the new tank. That will give you some seed bacteria to help cycle the tank. Just keep a check on your ammonia and nitrite and do water changes as needed to keep them as low as possible (under .25 ppm).
