Heya, I'm newer to this forum and I read the guppy pregnancy stages up on the pinned thread but I couldn't see any of the pictures!

Anyways I have a video I am going to post here of my female guppy, I was told about the "box-like" shape they develop when they are close to dropping their fry, although with the little amount of experience I have actually having pregnant live bearers I'm kind of clueless and I'd just like to know how soon I can expect seeing some fry.

So anyways here is the video :3

I don't think yours is ready to drop yet. Hard to say when. They do often square off and then deliver the same day.

Here is a picture of mine taken in the morning and she delivered later the same day. She wasn't sqaured off at the moment so I drew on a second one to show you where they square...

Basically, the back end sort of drops and there appears to be a corner.

Ahhh, I see, very helpful picture, thank you!

Its hard to tell with the lighter colour females (yellow/blonde), one of mine gave birth yesterday in my big tank, i had no idea she was ready to give birth (i have others that are in the breeder that are twice as big and still wont drop). I also have a guppy that has been square for 3 weeks and still no sign of babys. Its so hard to tell with guppies.
