before i spend £25 on chemicals i want to make sure im getting the right ones

Potassium Nitrate
Magnesium Sulphate
Monopotassium Phosphate

are these all the macro Nutrients i'll need?

i was thinking of buying the micro ones in a bottle and using liquid carbon.

are them 3 the right chemicals and is that all i'll need?

why? you have both potassium and sulphate in the Potassium Nitrate and Magnesium Sulphate

is more needed ?

also how long will a 500gram bottle of them last on a 60l tank?

also whats better easycarbo or CO2 injection via home-made system?

No need for you to use Potassium sulphate. EasyCarbo instead of Yeast CO2. If you're on a money saving exercise use dry trace instead of liquid.
500g on 60l will last approximately forever.

its not a yeast co2 but its not pressurized. heres a link to what i have

ttp://ornaments4aquariums.co.uk/Co2%20Diffuser%20Set%20by%20Waterplant

also where would you get dry traces ?

I'd probably still go EasyCarbo. There's a chance that using a pump & Squirt CO2 will result in fluctuating CO2 levels / Algae IMO.

500g Potassium Nitrate ~ 138 weeks (80L - E.I.)
500g MKP ~ 356 weeks (80L - E.I.)
500g Mag. Sulph. ~ 55 weeks (80L - E.I.)

James' Planted Tank has a good E.I. article with info on where to get Chemicals and traces or you could Google Trace elements. :good:

i might try the pump and squirt for afew weeks see if i get any algae can allways pull off the leaves / fix it

£31 for all the stuff besides co2 (incudeing postage)... which should last over 2 and a half years for 60L

do the chemicals have a due by date?

I'd stay away from that c02 and stick with the carbo

i might pick up some flourish excell then... iv got a £10 gift card thing for my LFS

You CAN add potassium sulphate just for some extra potassium. I have a 240l with pressurized Co2 so it's probably of more use to me than to a 60l with liquid carbon.

www.fluidsensoronline.com for the dry trace or all of them. :good:
