What are signs of labor for a platy? My female is hiding in the back corner and wont come out even for food. Her belly looks more square than it did this morning and she has a white dot by her anal fin. Is she in labor? Sorry for no pic. I can't get the camera to where she is.

 she must be ready she has everything that happens in pregnancy if it were me i would put her in a birthing trap see will be ok if shes really fat and squared put her in the birthing trap hope the birth goes well my mollie is pregnant too and im excited so have fun good luck to the female

I can't find her. But it's just her in a very well planted 5 gallon tank. I think they will be fine.
This is the tank

If she's on her own in that tank, she'll be very happy, & you'll probably have quite a few fry survive if ther's plenty of hiding places
Good luck, let us know how many she has

I just saw one! Omg! It's so tiny! I thought out was a flake at first. I put some food in the tank for mom and some fry food for babies. So cute!

Mum won't eat just yet.
I'd wait til she's finished, then see if she wants to eat.
Keep us updated :)

I've seen a few drop. I'm going to turn out the lights and let her be for a while so I can get some work done.

When can I expect her to drop again if she dropped last night?

You can expect a platy to drop as often as every 4 weeks minimum, but each female is individual and you could see as many as 6 weeks between drops.

FRY PICS!!!!
They really like to hang out by my heater and in this plastic flower.
