Am I meant to have a drip tray...when I Take the tank lid off , it is soaking, is the light ok or should I be having s drip tray.

I remember when my dad had fish when I was little and he had a clean plastic perforated lid that went under the lid. (I'm assuming that is a drip tray)

Thanks ?

Is the light built into the lid?
Condensation under a lid is perfectly normal, and the built-in lights (usually) are protected from the moisture.

Should be fine, wipe with a rag if it bothers you
No doesn't bother me, just checking it OK.
Guess my dad was old school when he had tanks many moons ago. Drip trays were prob needed back then in the good old days ?

I have a drip tray in 1 of my tanks but it came with the tank new. So i just left it, My other tank has no tray & is bad for condensation but lights have been fine
