Driftwood

Hi guys

I want to add a nice peice of driftwood to my tank but the ones in the shops all seem so expensive

Is it safe to use wood from streams in the bush (clean running melt water etc) keeping in mind I'm in australia so most driftwood is eucalyptus type

any other suggestions to preparing wood I find to put in the tank

Yes that wood sounds fine, Just make sure to boil it first for about 30mins or so

Does wood that you buy from the store provide the same benefits to plecs as wood i find in a river or whatever?
