Driftwood in brakish?

Is driftwood a good thing to have in a brakish tank??If you know let me know please!

Provided your water has a good buffering capacity (high KH) then the addition of bogwood will not harm the tank, if your water has a low buffering capacity then the addition of bogwood may lower the pH as it releases humic acids which brackish fish will not enjoy.

then what should i ut in there as a decoation for my puffer i am going to get, what if i soak the driftwood first?
