Dream Aquarium

Nano reef without a doubt.

deffo a mini reef!!! :hyper:

Why dream so small? Why dream of a nano reef? Surely a dream tank would be a huge reef tank with far more corals and life in it?

Hey I already created this thread!

ah- I might as well still post my updated dream system
:drool::drool::drool:
500,000 gallon freshwater
best in all kinds of filtration (self cleaning)
three 10,000 gallon automatic water change systems

Stocklist
Blah blah, lots of inappropriate fish etc etc ad infinitum

this is officially the greatest dream tank ever to be visualized
You did indeed, and we pointed out how you would end up with the pirarcu, some RTC and TSN and little else (including no aros or rays). And you do realise that a snow aro is just a colour mutation? And it happens somewhat randomly, so two snow aros are not at all guaranteed to give snow aro offspring (which would have been eaten by the RTC and TSN)

And for my dream tank? I am split. Almost all of me would love a SW shark and Ray tank, but a little piece of me would love a stonefish community.

dude, its a dream tank, who gives a crap? its not like anyone on this entire forum can even afford a 500,000 gallon aquarium in the 1st place, so who cares?

Dream tank - an 84 x 24 x 24 (210 gallon i guess) discus tank. or a planted amazon replica with wild angels.

I'd like a show-case of good-sized tanks (from 40g longs-100g+) featuring the major aquatic biotopes. Some of the featured biotopes would include...

Amazonian blackwater
SE Asian still water
SE Asian stream
Caribbean reef
South Pacific reef
Floridian Seagrass
Australian waterways (Gotta have rainbowfish!)
Brackish
African Congo
Lake Malawi

Now those would be fun. In addition, I'd have a load of smaller tanks where special species-preserving fishie porn would be carried out. Then there are the planted tanks!

It would be a great thing to have lots of money, but dreaming is still fun.

My Dream Tank?
125 Gallon Cory Tank:
Well planted with heaps of Bog woods etc (trying to get biotype close to Amazon)
With Shoals of Corydoras Panda, Similis, Adolfi, Weitzmanni, Metae, Schultzi, Agassizii, Julii, and a few others.
Stocked with Apisto sp. and rainbow fish and various tetras.

That just about sounds like a tank from heaven for me.

I would do something similar to Ildjma- several biotopes and then lots of breeding tanks. I'd like to breed small unusual fish.
