Im new to this site, i need advise on keeping dragon gobys, i have a 180l tank (community) but i want to set up a newtank for brackish fish. I think i know quite a lot about the dragon/violet goby but i would apreciate your help :)

What size of tank would be ideal, im limited to space you see!

Sand is essential and they like caves too. Other than that they need no special conditions.
180l should be fine for two.

Thats the reasurance i needed, i keep seeing conflicting info, one site sais i need 200gal minimum !!!

I think maybe they thought i meant "Dragon Fish".

They should'nt grow to more than 15" rite avrg?

One of our Gobioides Peruanus is touching eighteen inches now and they can get to two feet in the wild but yes, fifteen is probably about average in the aquarium.

Thats a great pic!!!

I want one now!! :hyper:

Im having trouble finding one, but its just a matter of time!!

theyre probally telling you 200 gallons min. because of their adult size of 2 feet, a fish should be able turn around with ease in an aquarium, and if yours so happens to grow to two feet (unlikely but possible) a tank that large would be about right. BUT since captive ones rarely exceed 16 inches id say a min. of 75 gallons, but that may be a bit small though.
