I love this advert and it just shows hyperreality. Naughty modeling world

Hadn't seen it before, but that is indeed brilliant. I, like many, already knew that the advert people were touched up a lot (umm, really ... *no-one* has skin that smooth) but having it all put together in such a short film it still hits me exactly *how different* the people are in reality. Simply amazing. Do wonder why they choose to make her eye brows that dark and big though, much preferred them before. =D

It's just a shame that these 'fake' people are the ones we compare ourselves to.

having studied media, I learnt to use photoshop as a result and also general make up tricks to use in my films. It's shocking what you can do with just make up, at the end of the day you would never wear that much normally as it's really caked on, but you can't see that when the model/actor is the other side of the camera.

What else is scary is that you used to be able to tell when things had been airbrused, but now with digital manipulation it's hardly noticable. They can trim love handles, make fat tummys thin, smooth out blotches, stretchmarks and scars and it doesn't even look fake to the untrained eye.

Good photography can make someone look good, but that is where they should draw the line.

Sacly, its so dumb when its fake because soon there wont be a need for models (like photo models)
I do love fashion and runway modeling but that is just to much retouching. I know its expensive so they want someone as close to the image as poss but... i dont know its confusing

I know I'm far from perfect or what the "industry" calls perfect, I'm 35, have 3 kids ages 18, 15, & 12. My body has seen it's share of laugh lines, frown lines, stretch marks and c-section scars but ya know what??? If I can't love myself than how could I expect someone else too? That is why choose to believe that I AM HOT, lol! (and modest too!  )

OMG you should, the one thing i hate is when your on the bus and here some perfectly fine looking woman putting them self down and pointing out all their floorz, but yer is 30s flirty? Loool

I can honestly say that my 30's have been fabulous thus far and I believe it's only going to get better! :good:
It is so sad though that women are filled with so much self doubt and loathing because they don't look like women in fashion magazines do. Screw that man, who wants to look like some cookie cutter crack whore???
REAL WOMEN ROCK!!!

Lool you talk so much sense. The models dont even look like the pictures in the magazines, the women in the magazines tech dont exist as they are changed.

A lot of problems today are caused by these ads that make people look completely unnatural and with all the digital re-sculpting of faces ect, how are young people supposed to get a real prception of reality and the knowledge that people come in all sorts of different shapes and sizes, thats what makes each and every one of us unique. Shame on the industry for making the so called size Zero something young people want to be! I am a hairdresser and so keep up with certian aspects of the fashion industry and it not a nice place at all! However, i dont think things will ever change. They will always put size 0's down the catwalk as they believe it makes their clothes sell! GRJ :hyper:

I watched that and was like yeah that's what they do...and then I saw this link on it's right, lol, well you know I reckon they do some of it for a reason.
