Hi
Stress Zyme is a biological filter additive. It will do nothing for damaged fins. As Tibby said, melafix and aquarium salt would be better.

Stress coat, as a dechlorinator, can be added as per the dosage on the bottle. It wont help with the fin damage though.

Yeh, it can help by improving the slime coat on the fish. So that coupled with regular water changes would help with his fins. We nearly always use melafix, myxacin, or salt, Or a mix of melafix and myxacin if the damage is pretty nasty. Keeping the temp up a bit too will help, 79 ish. Obviously depends on whether there are any tank mates that can deal with high temps, and meds.

thanks, thinking about it i might have some myxacin downstairs!
