They aren't all long a stringy like normal fish, they are like proper mini poo lololol

lol you want to be carefull people might start to think your mad, saying that betta poo is lovely and all. While i have the chance are you still looking at making backgrounds for tanks as i have just set up my barracks (spelling?) and it really needs something nice, so let me know :good:

Hope Jai is doing well, looking forward to see some more pics as he settles in

you shouldn't be able to see fish poo.
the fact that you can leads me to think of overfeeding.

I can just hear Freddie Mercury whispering "I am the invisible poo". Ha Ha. Seriously though, a healthy fish should be egesting the same amount of poo per day as food it is fed, with digestive delay and water content factored in for any differences. If the fish is fed twice a day, no visible poo is a very bad sign. If you cant see any poo in a Betta tank after a few days without a water change/gravel vac, something is wrong. If the fish is not constipated and is actually pooing, and poo is simply not there, something is eating it (hopefully not the Betta, which is a sign of under feeding and poor health). If its snails or shrimp, great. If the fish poo breaks up or decays nearly immediately and cant be seen in a very short time, something is very wrong with the fishs digestive system (parasites etc). If I feed my Bettas 7 Atisons pellets twice daily, I expect to see at least 2 poos of the same colour as the pellets added to the gravel per day.

i was going to say i feed my fish once a day, they are all very happy and all build nests and i see poo every day. Got a bit worried when i first started feeding white worms and, well you guessed it, it was white poo

MermaidMel, I really think you've got Betta Fever :hyper:

And while it's been mentioned, I'm interested in a background as well!

I've never seen my betta's poo, and I've had him for nearly a year. He seems fine. Does the fact I've never seen his poo mean there is something wrong? ( I admit I have never actively looked for it).

great I did have to read this thread while I was eating my lunch didn't I. lol, now my twix doesn't look so appetizing lol.
