Don't Like Big Business Pet Stores

what is it with those big pet stores that have really good names and when you get there half of their fish are dead or ill.
and i really hate how little they clean those betta cups... why don't they take better care of the animals!

Some independent shops can be as bad; on the other hand, some big chain branches can be very good.
 
You have to judge each shop individually, on it's own merits.

Agreed, take maidenhead Aquatics, some of there stores are superb, Rutland and Stapleton are excellent! others are awful though, Wrexham is terrible!. Good staff are hard to find, especially for the likes of pets at home who perhaps struggle to attract experienced fish keepers on the wages they pay.
