Hopefully it doesn't seem to morbid of me to post pictures of my Betta soon after he dies. He was a pretty little guy, that is for sure. I named him Don Juan (though I never really call any of my pets by their names) because his first bubble nest was a almost perfect heart. I also love my camera (Canon EOS).

When I first got him, I think this was a cell phone photo:

After I put him in the new tank this past weekend.

Showing off his fins to the "intruder" (a reflection I created for said picture). I tried to get one when he was more flared but it didn't happen.

every time i see his name phantom of the opera starts going off in my head idk why
he was a pretty boy though love the blue in in his fins sorry he died

One of the Phantom of the Opera songs? I watched the movie they made but that is the extent of my Phantom experiance.

Yea, the blue seemed really unique, but I am not a betta breeder nor an expert of what is available. I did a little reading about yesterday, so I know he had marble fins but that is all. He was a bit of a mix, red, white or yellow (the photos online didn't seem to be a good representation of the difference), and blue.

Ya when they do the play Don Juan but I have the soundtrack and listen to it a thousand times

He was really pretty my male is orange and has blue in his fins like him looks kinda similar to yours but with out the spots

OT: but I love Dr. Suess quotes. I have read quite a few that I like.

Like:

“We are all a little weird and life’s a little weird, and when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall in mutual weirdness and call it love.”
― Dr. Seuss
