Went to the LFS recently and they had what was described as a platinum white betta, thought he was good looking and i love pale betta, but no money at the time.....
Went back today (payday) and he had an injury -_- well to cut a long story short;

Meet nameless....

Nipping damage near his dorsal fin, fairly straightforward to deal with, his tails a little tatty close up as well....

He was in an AquaOne BettaCube, the smallest type, set in a run of about 9 or 10. Apparently the copper red next to him had done some acrobatics and ended up in the same cube
 bit suss if you ask me, but either way physical damage or something more serious i'm fairly sure i'll deal with it (mehopes).

I'm sure 'Nameless' appreciates the compliments
Thanks!

I don't know a great deal about tail types TBH....
They do get a fairly wide variety in though (at least the tails look different to me) mountain betta (?), plakats etc.
The young lady in charge of the fish section is a betta, gourami, pleco lover so theres quite a good range in these 3 fish.
Pourquoi?

Just had a closer look at the little chap methinks the store employee was telling lies....
The scale damage goes down in an almost vertical line, i reckon he has probably been caught on a tank edge or similar, while being moved around, certainly doesn't look like the aggression damage i've seen on gourami, although i'd assume Betta would be different, it just looks too linear.
:dunno:

down here in Dorset I've only been able to find VT's and most shops only sell red or blue ones and no girls. The shops also won't order in different types of bettas because 'they are hard to find', which I don't belive. I want to come and live up there!

If you want i'll try and find out some of the breeders details, i've never asked but i get the vibe she may breed some herself.....
I'll have a nosey, anyhow, see if she knows anyone in Dorset.
Do you have a world of water down there? Thats what LFS it is, but they choose their own stocking and most of the staff have good taste and are fairly well informed.
If i hear of anyone i know planning on heading down south i'll give you a shout, actually! my mums a windsurfer and visits various different parts of the British coast so i could maybe sort something out?
:dunno:
Do you have tank space?
Theres a LOAD of little Betta ladies (30+ at a guess) in a different LFS i visited today, although the males were poor quality, i didn't even try to note the tail types in W.O.W but if you are seriously interested i can probably get the girl to order some in.....

For the Betta?
Or the baby?
I reckon i'll stick with nameless (for the Betta), i like literary names but can't think of anything suitable, any suggestions?
Go for the classics....
Anyhow hows Wiggles?
Any idea on the tail type?
From the link on here i'd go with a delta also, but a second opinion would be appreciated....

Oh... I don't know if you've noticed but your avatar appears to have dissapeared....
