i currently have a 55 gal 4 foot fish only tank with just a dog faced puffer in there as these are quiet small for a puffer i was hoping to add maybe one or two more fish in there that share the same kind of carnivourous diet can anyone make any suggestoins also i have a 40 gal sump so overall system is 95 gallons

How big is the puffer? Possible tankmates include morays, medium sized wrasses and triggers. Most other fish can get along with them as well, they tend to be fine with most fish that aren't too small.

However, your tank size presents some problems. The puffer can eventually reach a foot in length if given time and plenty of food, so you will want to have some sort of back up plan, such as a larger tank, or a friend or pet store with the same. If the puffer is still small (2-4'') you should still be able to hold on to him for a few more months/years, but his growth will eventually overtake the tank size.

also i was hoping for some sort of fish/ invert that will eat algae but wont be eaten by my puffer

thanx

I don't have any experience with Arothron puffers but I could see astrea snails surviving. Sea hares, and lawnmower blennies would probably be fine as well but both of these need plenty of algae to survive. Depending on the size of your puffer, you could simply add a more or less "normal" clean-up crew.
