checked out another fish store in bury st edmunds yesturday afternoon got lots of stuff but a little pricey imo but anyways walkin round corner of one of the isles to see this staring me in the face..........a giant gourami what a beast

Looks like a kissing gourami
They can grow up to 30cm, never seem them any bigger then 5cm though

Boy... that is one googly eyed ugly fish.. well imo that is heh.
Although the LFS around here do have the occasional large fish... I don't think I've ever seen that kind before.

Biggest fish I ever saw was in my LFS. It was a pleco and looked to be about 20cm in length!

lol man wait till you see one that is a few years old, common plecos, at 24 inches!!!! and thats not odd thats normal. Ocean Commotion in Leicester has a couple of large plecos atm. lol or did!!!!

Strangely enough the LFS on Sedgley Road West In Sedgley, West Midlands has one of those and it is pigging enormous - I would say it has to be at least 10 inches long
And its as ugly as that one as well

It's an Osphronemus goramy and they grow to about two and a half feet.

i go there when i go round my mums house.just to let others know that fish is over 2ft with about 5 massive plecos with him

Just asked my son how big the fish is in the LFS and he says that when he was in their not long ago they had measured it and its about 16 inches - so much for my ability to judge length.

Anyhow its a bigun

hmm i gota disagree.its way bigger then that.next time i go ill try and take comparison pics lol it's a luvely big ugly monster though.he has nice teeth

My LFS has about 30 red belly'd pirahanas! They are about 35-40cm long each! . The tank has a skeleton in it and i must admit, it looks realy good!

looks like this is a lively topic. ide say at a guess its about 18 inches and its still in the tank with about 4 big plecs aswell....tanks is a bit dull though does need livening up but dont think they make tank decorations that large lol
