Does this sound right?

I have a 30 gallon that at the moment houses 10 female bettas, 5 cories and 2 b-noses. I'm finding myself wanting more girls though I'm pretty much stocked to my limit already arn't I?

What if I moved the b-noses and cories to another tank how many more females could I fit or is 10 the max in a 30 gallon anyways??

It's usually better to overstock female Bettas, if your filtration can manage it. It keeps the peace much better, and creates quite the lovely display.

Yeah I've got 2 filters running in the tank at the moment. I'm thinking of getting rid of my 2 b-nose plecos though as they are just little poop machines I wonder how many more I could fit in once they are gone? maybe 5 even 10? I know I was reading in another thread about keeping up to 15 in a 20 gallon tank.

hey neighbor (im from Finland)...ok back on topic. you could probably fit a few more in im thinking six to make it 16..does that sound right

Well, what I've heard was you shuld have 6 in a 10 gallon tank. So that would mean you could keep about 18 girls. Just make sure you have plenty of hiding places for them.

If you got rid of everybody else, you could toss 10 more girls in there, as long as you kept the tank clean and VERY heavily planted it.

Lots of thick plants are a good thing in girly betta tanks.

Hey there..I didn't know you were from finland

Well I decided to take the 2 bristlenose plecos to my one of the fish stores nearby. They have a lot of bristlenoses so I figured they would be happy there. I was tired of all the mess they made

I stopped at my lfs on the way home and picked up 2 more girls Now I am up to 12 ) Yesterday I got 3. Seems I chose 2 who are the same colors as 2 I already have so I am thinking about returning them for 2 other colors. Even though they are the turquoise that I really love I don't really want 4 of that color.

I might get rid of my cories too...so I can fit more girls The tank is already pretty heavily planted but I might add somemore wood so they can hide a bit.
