Does "prime" Expire?

I have a bottle of Prime water conditioner that I bought (and used briefly) in the spring. I haven't used it since. If I had continued to use it, I would have run out a while ago. So, I am wondering, is it still OK for me to use? I opened it up and it smells stronger and slightly different than I remembered. (I know it is supposed to smell bad, it's the change in odor that is making me question.) Thanks!

I've got bottles much older than that and they still work fine.

Yes, Prime always stinks from the sulfer and I remember it seemed to stink more even just a bit after it was new, I thought. I have no idea what Seachem recommends as to its shelf life.

Your query made me think what a good thing it would be for all of us to remember to mark at least the purchase date in perm.marker on our bottles! Thanks!
