Hi

We have just found an egg on a plant in the tank. I don't know how clearly you can see it but its on the first leaf pair of leaves on the stem that is pointing diagonally up to the right away from the guppy. It's creamy white and about 2mm across. We know that there are some snails in there along with the 5 resident guppies - is it possible that this is from the guppies or more likely snails?

Hope the link works as I've not tried doing this before.

Thanks
Jue

Snail, as guppy are livebearers and have live young, they don't lay eggs.

Guppies are livebearers - it must be from a snail if you have no other fish :)

Thanks :) Sorry I'm not thinking straight today - it's New Year after all.

He is being removed as I type!!!

This will make you smile - it was a small piece of gravel!!

New Years Resolution - GET MY EYES TESTED :)

 how funny ! I thought it's a bit odd to have a single egg... but it really couldn't have been the guppies, which only left the snail.

For posting pictures copy the third line labelled IMJ and paste it into your answer that way it just appears on the post.
