Hi GuppyMan, DG fry look different at every week of their lives. First week they look like a comma, as Ddraig wrote,; then as they get bigger they get some colour, usually olive.
They have a silver plate on the gills; dorsal fin and anal fin extend the length of the tail which is curving. With a magnifying glass you can see their ventrical fins (whiskers) at about three weeks. After about a month they get their characteristic depth of body.
I would find it difficult to get a good clear picture in my breeding tank as there is plenty of algae on the glass.
