I know someone using one. I'v never seen it working but he says its good. It will restrics the flow. Are you using it for closed loops or for a return from a sump?

ste :)

:*) didnt look properly at the site, thought it was self powering!
At the moment i have 2 x ocean runner OR 2500, 1 for the sump rtn., the other on a spray bar behind the live rock, + 1 more of the same that i dont know what to do with  :dunno: , the tank itself is 112 gallons with a ?? gallon sump, with miracle mud and culerpa lit 24 hrs, has 63kg of L.R, 80lbs (4 bags) of live sand, halides, inhabitants at the mo are 55 snails, 4 star fish 1 blue, 1 red linckia, 2 sandsifters, 4 hermits (various), 1 long spined urchin, freebies off L.R inc. 4 brittlestars (v.small), 2 bristleworms that ive seen, + loads of stuff i have no idea of! :*) , the fish are, 2 yellow tailed blue damsels, 2 donino damsels (v.small), 1 baby regal tang, and a white raianthus malu anenome, and a partridge in a pear treeeee! :D

Those OR powerheads run HOT. You don't want 3 of those in the water, I don't think! Plus, the 2500 is pretty low flow to run on the SCWD if I understand properly peoples' histories with those things.

Keep the extra as a backup for the return pump should it fail, though.

right will keep it as a spare then, didnt want to use it any way, too big, no where to put it!, what powerheads would be recomended for my set up then?, and what pump would be recomended for the sump return if i decide to change it? ( which i probably will if its not enough!). Ooooh its an expensive hobby!!  , but well worth it :D :D
