Our favourite plant for our Blue Gouramis are Milfoil . Possibly because its a prolific growing plant with lots of new shoots, who knows? Either way, its fortunate because they are constantly nibbling at it and it does grow fast.

They always appreciate any floating plants as well and preffer taller plants.

My dwarf gouramis seem to prefer hornwort (a floater) and amazon swords due to the shelter they provide. My larger opaline gourami definitely took a liking to the wisteria and anubias (both have red leaves). Plant preference probably varies based on the type of gourami you have. If you're trying to breed gouramis, floating plants are the way to go.
