Dodgy Fish Tank

Start of with the spinning as it can mean a numbers things from ph shock, swim bladder, or whirling desease.
How long have you had the fish to make sure its not ph shock.
Stats would be good in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.
Whitespot can cause bacterial problems on top of a fish.
A fish with an open mouth mean that it has something lodged in there is a sore on ulcer in the roof of the mouth.
Sorry forgot to ask when he's spinning does it look like he's chasing his tail and how often is he doing it.

Hi Wilder, my plattys mouth is getting worse. Her mouth is starting to close up because of the fungus growing around her mouth. I've managed to find a product in my house called, Aquarium Doctor BSB by TAP which treats, Fin rot, Ulcers, Wounds, Sores, gill disease and other ailments. Do you think i should try it?..btw i'm using interpret ich treatment at the moment.

Water Stats; PH: 7.8
Ammonia: 0
Nitrite: 0
Nitrate: 5.0 - 10

Cheers! Wilder

In answer to your questions. The swerling thing has only happend twice, but not sure if he's just chasing his tale. It doesnt seem like he's having fun when it happends.
My fish were moved from my girlfriends hse to mine about a month ago, but i could only keep 30% of the water, so not sure if that would of caused PH shock.

Cheers! Wilder

Heard that doc meds stains and ruins plants and the colour of the med is hard to get rid off.
I would keep going with the interpet med and give it a boost with a med called pimafix.
What was your girlfreinds ph to your tap ph water.

Hi wilder, we have the same PH since we both live the same area. I'll try and get hold of some primafix and see if that works.

Wilder, you should set up a hotline so we can call you when we have problems. Charge 50p a minute

Cheers! for the info

Lol.
If he carries on spinning ive had it with a glow light tetra, he kept spinning for two weeks and it was wearing him out, i had to put him down in the end, but lucky all other fish were fine and no desease passed on.
Good luck, but need to get that pimafix as columnaris is nasty and it can soon start to rot the mouth.

Hi wilder, I was told by a member to use the interpret treatment on these days = 1, 4, 7,10, 13, and 16 and each treatment needs to be preceded by 50% water change.

Wilder can you vaildate this?

Cheers!

Havent got that med in the cuboard to take a look, what it say in the instruction.
You can do two rounds i think that what he means, what you do is do the water change when the first treatment date is up, then you just start again with the med, keep an eye on stats in might knock the bacteria colony in your tank.
Or if the interpet med not doing much do a water change run carbon for a few hours and get myxazin by waterlife and still use that med with the pimafix.

Wilder, i think the cotton mouth might be spreading to 2 other fish because there really slugish and there breathing is really rapid. Do you think it's best to kill the ill fish?....

Sorry for all the questions, but this is the last

Cheers!

Whats your stats.
Are they flicking and rubbing just to make sure.
Once fish labour breath not good news.
Have you increased areation in the tank might be lack of 02 in there.

All my fish flick and rub due to the whitespot and 3 fish are labour breathing. I dont think theres a lack of 02 since the other fish are perfectly fine.

Right thanks for the info.
The whitespot has destroyed the gills then, as when they labour breath with whitespot there usually goners, sorry.
