was wanting to know if glofish and zebra danios would school together since they are the same species of fish but different color? I was wanting to put 2 glofish in with 3 zebra danios and 5 neon tetras in a 12 gallon eclipse.

Not 100% certain to be honest because of the colour difference but I would suspect they would 'losely' shoal to begin with. You have nothing predatory in the tank so once they've settled in, none of your fish will really shoal anyway. You'd be much better off with say 6 Zebra Danios, 6 Neon Tetra and a Simease Fighter.

They will shoal together, at least for a while. As pointed out before, as you don't have anything preditory in there, after a while when they feel secure, all fish may sease to shoal, unless you are doing tank maintanance, or introducing another fish. I would advise against putting a siamise fighter in, as timmystood surgested, as danios can be very nippy little fish when they want to be.

I agree that you should skip the betta. Danios are not good tank mates for them. Your danios will school loosely since they are all the same species. They won't care that they are different colors.
