Do You Think I Should Get Angels

Get some nice corys, a couple of small shoals of colourful tetra like the cardinals or emperors and it will look awesome!

as if my tank wil look that good im rubbish at this and planting plants. the 2 aquariums by me
dont have a good selection of plants and i dont think any of them are aquatic apart from java fern.
i havent got a clue about CO2 so i dont use it. my tank is overstocked.
ive wanted the lil plants what grow off the floor(in the prise winnning tank) for ages
but i dont think there is any good petshops by me well not for plants anyway.
im 4 years into the hobby and im still rubbish ive just turned 15 and im crap at everything.

that 14 GAL looks a lot taller than mine and a lot longer.
have i measured my tank right
L ft X W ft X D ft X 6.23

how many inches is a ft ill try to find the measurer. if it is 15 gal why does mine look way way smaller

12 inches to a foot. If you can get the measurements it'll be easier to work out for you. ;)

Course you can get tanks like those guys.

CO2 - to understand that, just read up on it.

Stocking, again, just read - go look at peoples tank journals.

Ideas, check out the other tanks on the AGA site i linked.

Then its just practice.

Heres my fourfooter after i first set it up - this is about three weeks after set up.(cloned tank hence no cycle)

Hold on whilst i find pics of the 12g in my other photobucket.....

You've got some good acvice given to you, though, the best thing to do now is to take all of your fish back and start again. Just because everything doesn't work right on your first try doesn't mean you can't try again.

thanks for your time ive got to go to bed soon because i have school in the morning and i wont be able to get up.
if mine is 14 GAL why does mine look alot smaller than the 14 gal in the pic.
do you think mabee because it has more plants

i cant see those pics its not a link

very nice tank my cousin has a 3 footer but again it looks no were near as big as that

Sometimes tanks do look smaller, not sure why.
A lot of it is to do with the water. When you fill the tank it looks smaller front to back more often than not.
Our 5ft tank is 20" wide but as soon as we filled it, it looked half of that!

That person used the plants to their advantage to make the tank seem a lot bigger than it really is.

That is George Farmer's Tank, and here's the journal he made. That tank is only 2.5 gallons.
