brachyrhaphis-roseni are very cannibalistic towards there fry, they can turn and eat their own fry almost as fast as you can blink even with a well planted tank you might be lucky to find one or to fry, to have good success you will need to trap the female, both male and female are very nice looking and are the of same colour one thing is for sure you will not get over run with babies like your normal livebearers such as Guppies & platies etc,

Yes, I've got those as well. Very beautiful fish but indeed aggressive and very fond of fry.
And best is to keep them in a species tank or choose tankmates that are at least semi-aggressive. Size doesn't matter. For they can grab bigger fish then themselves, I've noticed. They're not that sweet to a big number of fish. African cichlids were okay with them.
