Do Ulcers Usually Heal?

Hi all, this is a medical matter, but not an emergency, so I hope I'm posting in the right spot. My Dwarf Gourami has an ulcer on his head, above his mouth. The LFS diagnosed it when I took him in there today, and I've dosed the tank with broad spectrum medication. Do ulcers usually heal?
