Like a practice run? Last night I witnessed them 'spawning', but didn't see any eggs, didn't find any this morning. They were right at the back of the tank well hidden, so I couldn't see if there were eggs being laid or not, but there's definitely none there. My girl is still nice and pink and swollen, and her oviposter is still very enlarged... weird or what?
Do rams ever pretend to spawn?
